Nina is a dyslexia specialist certified in the Wilson Reading System, a highly-trained educational therapist, and a teacher with more than 30 years of experience in public and private schools and private practice. Her expertise in the brain science of learning helps students experience significant breakthroughs in their reading, writing, and thinking abilities.
Personal experience parenting a child with autism and severe and pervasive learning differences contributes to her ability to understand what’s going on inside the heads of her students. One of her greatest strengths is eliciting sustained, hard work from her students while maintaining a friendly, trusting, and fun environment. Nina lives with her husband, adult son, and unofficial therapy dog, Ernie, in the town of Onley, Accomack County, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
